The Arc'teryx LEAF Alpha Jacket is specifically engineered for military and law enforcement applications. It's a highly durable, extremely light, waterproof-breathable 3-layer GORE-TEX® XCR® shell that's loaded with the technical innovations that the Arc'teryx brand is known for. The WaterTight™ zippers and Dry Cuffs™ seal out rain and snow, and the stowable hood is quickly adjusted with one hand making adjustments easy in the field. Highly articulated patterning allows for unrestricted movement, and the trim, anatomical cut won't interfere with gear or your range of motion in the field. The Alpha is highly compressible and can pack easily for quick, effective protection in nasty weather.

Quality

I'd been eyeballing this one for some time. Finally got it and it goes with me everywhere now. I wear it in the rainy alaskan mountains all the time for days/weeks out in the bush. It's breathable enough to wear when hiking with heavy pack, and yet completely separates you from the elements. Hood is great, feels snug with helmet or without and stows really nicely. Great pockets, completely waterproof. Compresses pretty well for how tough/durable the material is. Great range of motion, running/shooting/backpacking, it works with everything without snagging, very smooth. It will last long, long time. Worth every penny. I've settled for less twice before, both times it was a "highest quality" jacket, and both times I was disappointed after heavy use. You will not be disappointed with the Alpha Jacket.
