The Arc'teryx PRO Gamma SL Anorak is a lightweight softshell pullover built for high-output operations where mobility, breathability, and basic weather protection matter more than hauling around a full hard shell. At just 9.2 oz, it provides a streamlined layer for changing conditions without adding unnecessary bulk to your kit.
The Fortius™ DW 1.0 four-way stretch fabric moves naturally with the body while providing abrasion resistance for hard use. An FC0 DWR treatment adds protection against light rain and snow, while the fabric cuts light wind without sacrificing the breathability needed when you're moving fast. It also provides UPF 50+ protection for long days exposed to the sun.
The half-zip construction is particularly useful around armor. It reduces material and pressure points beneath a plate carrier while giving you an easy way to dump heat when output starts climbing. A trim, articulated fit keeps the Anorak close to the body for unrestricted movement and makes it easy to layer underneath additional weather protection when conditions get worse.
A low-profile adjustable hood adds coverage without excess bulk, while the adjustable hem helps seal out drafts. Storage stays intentionally simple with a zippered chest pocket, and IFF patches on both arms feature V-Lite™ retention loops for identification and marker integration.

Why We Love It
This is a really smart layer for when a hard shell is overkill but going without weather protection isn't the move either.
