The Outdoor Research Allies Mountain Jacket II – MultiCam® is built for the kind of weather that turns a routine movement into a problem. Designed for extended operations in harsh terrain, this hard shell combines AscentShell™ Dry waterproof technology with rugged 100% CORDURA® nylon to deliver serious protection against driving rain, wet snow, high winds, and abrasive environments.
With a 30K waterproof rating, fully seam-taped construction, and YKK® AquaGuard® zippers, the Allies Mountain II is designed to keep water where it belongs: somewhere other than inside your jacket. When output ramps up, two-way pit zips provide fast ventilation without requiring you to shed your shell or interrupt movement.
The helmet-compatible hood features multiple adjustment points, a structured wire brim, and a hood-lock system for better coverage and visibility when conditions get ugly. When you don't need it, the hood can be stowed out of the way.
A highly articulated fit maintains mobility through climbing, movement under load, and technical terrain, while adjustable cuffs and an elastic drawcord hem help seal out wind and precipitation. Storage is equally mission-focused, with high hand pockets, chest and forearm storage, a shoulder pocket, internal stash options, and shoulder VELCRO® ID fields.
