The Rite in the Rain Monsoon Hand Desk gives you a stable writing surface, weather-resistant storage, and field organization in one compact setup. Built for anyone taking notes, managing paperwork, or collecting data somewhere decidedly less convenient than an office, it keeps the essentials together and ready to work.
The exterior is constructed from durable thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) with watertight welded seams and joints to help protect your notebooks, documents, and small gear from rain and rough conditions. A rust-resistant exterior clamp holds paperwork in place while you write, and an external writing-tool holder keeps your pen or pencil ready instead of buried somewhere in your kit.
Open the full-length zipper and there's considerably more organization inside. Multiple writing-tool slots, four card pockets, three secure tether loops, a half-pocket, loose-sheet storage, and a zippered mesh catch-all give everything a designated place. An adjustable side handle makes the desk easier to stabilize and carry, while the rear hanger loop gives you another storage option when it's not in use.
The Monsoon accommodates Rite in the Rain notebooks up to 5" x 8", A5 notebooks, and 0.5" 6-ring binders, making it a solid mobile workspace for field notes, reports, maps, reference material, or whatever paperwork followed you outside.
Because apparently the paperwork is weatherproof now, too.
It's basically an admin pouch and clipboard that decided to become one useful piece of kit. You get a solid surface for writing in the field, dedicated storage for all the little stuff, and weather-resistant protection when conditions turn ugly. For field notes, inspections, training, or anyone routinely filling out paperwork without an actual table nearby, this thing makes a ton of sense.
